About Nate Oatis, LCSW
Nate Oatis is a St. Louis native who has lived and spent time in neighborhoods across the metro area. Growing up as the child of two parents struggling with addiction, within a blended family that often lacked support and resources, he learned early on to rely on maladaptive coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges. Over time, however, Nate came to realize that merely surviving was not his only option—that a life marked by fulfillment, growth, and genuine thriving was possible.
Nate is a dedicated therapist with extensive experience in both community-based and outpatient settings, specializing in supporting adolescents and their families. He works with young people who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, suicidal ideation, and the stress that can come with academic and athletic transitions.
Nate’s approach is compassionate, supportive, and focused on helping clients build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills. He is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space where adolescents and families feel heard, understood, and supported.
Nate has been practicing for six years and earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) from Washington University’s Brown School of Social Work in 2021.
